Sing Me to Sleep

I can’t sleep and I’m itchy almost all over. I’m blaming my newest anti-seizure med lamotrigine. The name brand is Lamictal and it’s also used to treat mood disorders. Anyone else experience the rash or extra bad insomnia on it?

Less annoying side effects seem to be loss of appetite, a metallic taste in my mouth, and a queasy stomach. I can deal with those. The rash and insomnia are way more worrisome.

But! The rash spots could be eczema triggered by dry skin from my primary anti-seizure medicine Gabapentin. And heck, I have insomnia flares often, so it could just be regular old me.

I’d just really like to feel more comfortable in my own skin.
