I’ve had a cluster headache for over two weeks. I thought that winning my social security disability insurance (SSDI) appeal would have made me feel better. But it hasn’t. I feel like the back of my head is in a vice, despite getting an injection of Toradol yesterday.
I am cooking after my allergy shots. By cooking, I mean that I’m waiting 30 minutes to see if I have a reaction to the shots. This is medical appointment number three of the week and it’s only Tuesday. I have three more to go.

Speaking of the number three: This is my third round of allergy shots. I started my first round when I was in junior high school. My second round was back when I was cool and worked in the music industry.
On the upside, tomorrow I’m scheduled for my third Fasenra injection. My allergist calls Fasenra “a game changer.” It should help my eosinophilia. I didn’t even know what that was until a couple of months ago. According to Wikipedia, “Eosinophilia is a condition in which the eosinophils count in the peripheral blood exceeds 5.0×10/l (500/μL). Eosinophils usually account for less than 7% of the circulating leukocytes. A marked increase in non-blood tissue eosinophil count noticed upon histopathologic examination is diagnostic for tissue eosinophilia. Several causes are known, with the most common being some form of allergic reaction or parasitic infection.”
My eosinophils account for 26% of the circulating leukocytes. The normal range is 2%-6%.
Signing off for now. I’m done cooking. Hoping to write about my SSDI appeal hearing once this headache lessens.
