Along with the costochondtitis that I’ve had for years, I currently have a costochondrial joint subluxation, AKA rib dislocation. And it hurts.
My ribs have been dislocating for decades. I can actually pop the costosternal joint in and out. I remember telling my pediatrician about the popping/pain and the doctor told me that it wasn’t possible. Thanks, doc.
As for the costochondtitis, I get relief from nerve block injections. My doctor uses an x-ray to guide those injections. The relief usually lasts a year. I’m a little overdue for the nerve block. Fortunately, I have an appointment with that doctor soon.
For right now, my physical therapist is working on the rib pain and my regular neck/shouler pain. The fancy word for the neck pain is cervicalgia. It’s caused by my hypermobilty. My neck has trouble holding my head up.
I’m feeling very wobbly. It’s hard to sleep when almost everything is always slipping around in one’s body. I just need more cats. My floofy, lightweight kitty applies just the right amount of pressure when she’s napping on my lap.
